Built in 1955, Doull School is located in southwest Denver in the Harvey Park neighborhood.
The community is characterized by young families buying their first house and senior citizens. It is not uncommon for a parent to report that they attended Doull as a student when they were growing up in the neighborhood. We have many community members who regularly volunteer their time to assist the teachers in the classrooms.
Our current enrollment includes 485 students in grades ECE-5. The ethnic breakdown of our students is approximately: Less than 1% Native American 2.8% African American 2% Asian 87% Hispanic 9% Anglo.
Doull offers a variety of instructional services to students. We are home to two special education center programs:
Sewell Early Learning Center (ELC) for children who are 4-5 years of age and have developmental delays
Developmental Learning Center(DLC) for students 5-7 years old exhibiting developmental delays and an
In addition to our special center programs, we offer:

Early Childhood Education for four year olds
We are fortunate to be the home of two All-Day Kindergartens, one in English and one in Spanish, funded through the Mill Levy by the citizens of Denver. The number of second language learners at Doull has grown significantly in the last five years. We continue to develop our Transitional Native Language Instructional delivery (TNLI) program which provides literacy instruction in both Spanish and English to our second language learners. Our goal is to help students acquire English quickly and effectively, while honoring their language of origin.
We deliver a comprehensive Arts program, including:
- Vocal Music Program which you can see at Dynamite Doull Music Program
- Visual Arts Program which you can see at Incredible Visual Arts Program
- Instrumental Music Program which you can see by clicking on Dynamite Doull Music Program Our Collaborative School Council is a group of parents and staff who use the data and knowledge of our community to guide decision making for instructional planning. In-depth discussions of trends in achievement data have guided our School Improvement Plan efforts as we developed objectives, strategies and staff development plans.
