VOLUNTEER
...it's easy and doesn't take much time:
- Come visit your child's classroom. If you can't make it every week, make it once a quarter, or visit once a semester.
- Volunteer one day a week after school to help kids with homework. Send an email or talk to the principal, Daniel_Villescas@dpsk12.org, or ECE Teacher Dawn Zilch at Dawn_Zilch@dpsk12.org to volunteer.
- Join the Collaborative School Committee. This committee meets the second Thursday each month except December. We want more parent input on this committee to strengthen our school. Send an email to Daniel_Villescas@dpsk12.org for more information.
- Email your child's teacher and keep open communication. Your child's teacher's email is " FIRST NAME underscore LAST NAME @dpsk12.org ".
- Tell the office staff you'd like to help make copies or collate parent information. Send an email to Tammy_Enderich@dpsk12.org for suggestions.
- Come on a field trip with your student.
- Join the Doull Eagle Club (this is our Parent-Teacher Organization).
- Come eat lunch with your student (adults must buy their own lunch for $2.25.)
- Offer to support the class party at Harvest Festival in October.
- Offer to support the class party at Winter Holiday in December.
- Volunteer to read with a student in another classroom.
- Help shelve books in the library. Send an email Tim_Klein@dpsk12.org to help.
- Volunteer for RIF -- "Reading is Fundamental" where we give books to students for free to increase their personal library. Send an email Tim_Klein@dpsk12.org to help.
