Letter From The Principal
Hello and welcome to our school!
My name is Jayne Sbarboro. This is my sixth year and final year of service as principal of Doull Elementary. The principal who will be starting in August, 2008 will be Mr. Dan Villescas. We are working together to provide a smooth transition. It has been a privilege to work with this community. My work has been to coordinate the efforts of a talented and dedicated staff, raise the achievement level of all students at Doull Elementary, and to help all students reach their greatest good. Teachers, staff and I have been successful in helping students demonstrate "significant improvement" on the state CSAP test.
I welcome parents as active partners in their children's education. With parents' help, we create success for all students. Please VOLUNTEER Our children need your help.
I use our school webpage to show you how AMAZING the students are here at Doull. Take a look at the Faculty and Staff that help them excel.
I have over 24 years of involvement with schools and children. I spent 16 years as a classroom teacher teaching 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and multi-age classrooms of 3rd-4th, 4th-5th and 3rd-4th-5th in various schools in the Denver. I spent two years as an Administrative Assistant at Schenck Elementary. In 1996 I was the American Council of Learned Societies Fellow for Denver Public Schools, and coordinated curriculum efforts between 5 schools. I was recognized in 1998 with a Denver Outstanding Teacher Award. I maintain an open-door policy and want to visit with you.
If you get the chance, stop in to the office and chat. Let me know what is going well for your children here at Doull, and ways in which we may improve.
We have been developing our homepage in conjunction with the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO very graciously bought the school a digital camera. Tour Our Art Showcase by clicking on the link. Please plan to visit again soon. We have lots to show you!
